NetSuite is the world’s leading cloud-based suite of tools for enterprise resource planning (ERP). Companies use it for planning and effectively running key business processes in inventory, accounting, supply chain, and e-commerce. It’s also used for storing data in its embedded CRM database, tracking the company’s finance, and managing projects.

NetSuite is a popular cloud-based ERP system with modules for managing and effectively running business processes. However, it also offers a module for customer relationship management. NetSuite CRM enables users to store and manage customer, partner, and vendor data within a single solution. It also provides users with easy sales and marketing automation tools seamlessly integrating with the platform’s ERP system.

NetSuite is neither a database nor a CRM. It goes beyond these software solutions, combining different applications and modules within a single platform with customizable dashboards for streamlined resource planning and management. The NetSuite CRM database is a foundation for the platform’s other administration tools.

Before using this powerful ERP system, you should go through the NetSuite Help Center. It gives answers to popular questions, such as “What is NetSuite?”. It explains how to log in and navigate the system, how to work with its Records, Transactions, etc. You can learn to effectively use the platform during the general training courses offered by NetSuite or other educational providers.

NetSuite features a SuiteAnalytics Connect ODBC driver that helps to set up a connection between your ERP account and a Microsoft Excell workbook. Thanks to this driver, you can configure record export from the SuiteAnalytics Connect data source to a corresponding Excel table. But if you need to export information from your documents to a related NetSuite record, airSlate integration with NetSuite will help you. It provides automatic and errorless transmission of data people provide in your business forms, like purchase orders or HR surveys, to the related records in your ERP system.

NetSuite is an integrated cloud-based platform that combines software solutions for all company departments to plan and run their workflows effectively. However, connecting other applications with Oracle’s ERP system can significantly enrich its functionality. Some tools provide integration with NetSuite via API. airSlate makes this process quick and easy thanks to no-code Integration Bots that connect your accounts and perform determined tasks without human interaction.

MS Excel doesn’t have a full-fledged integration with NetSuite, but you can export data from your NetSuite CRM to Excel tables. You can do it by using the SuiteAnalytics Connect ODBC driver. Also, you can save the reports created in Oracle’s ERP as CSV files, which you can open in Excel or make data export directly into the XLS. files.

NetSuite groups different records by their categories called record types. They display what type of data contains each NetSuite record (for example, vendor, currency, customer, purchase order, tax type, etc.). You can find the required record type using the SuiteAnalytics Workbook UI. To do so, you need to go to the NetSuite navigation menu, click Analytics → Workbooks → New Workbook, and select the record type you need.

To extract data from your NetSuite general ledger (GL) to a separate file, you can do it with the system’s export features, navigating through Setup > Import/Export > Export Tasks > Full CSV Export. The second way is to export GL records to an MS Excel Workbook through the drivers such as ODBC, JDBC, or ADO.NET. If you don’t need the whole GL but only a particular piece of information to be transmitted to your documents, you can use the airSlate workflow automation platform. It features no-code Bots that provide seamless integration with NetSuite and enable users to transfer data from their business paperwork to NetSuite CRM records and vice versa.

First, find out “what is NetSuite transaction.” Transactions are records of business events and operations of a company. You can find their list in the menu tab of the same name. The transaction type describes what operation was performed and what type of data it contains. The Bill Payment, Cash Refund, Customer Deposit, Inventory Adjustment, Invoice, Payment, Sales Order, Sales Tax Payment, etc. are only a few examples of NetSuite transaction types.
