is that it already has formulas and calculations built in, so you don't have to worry about doing that yourself. Now, let's move on to Power Automate. In Power Automate, I've set up a flow that will be triggered when a new item is added to a SharePoint list. This list contains all the invoice data, such as customer name, order date, product details, etc. When a new item is added, the flow will take that data and populate the corresponding fields in the excel template. To do this, I'm using the "Update a row" action in Power Automate, which allows me to specify the excel file and the row I want to update. I then map the different fields from the SharePoint list to the corresponding columns in the excel template. For example, I'll map the customer name field to the "Customer Name" column in the template. Once all the fields are mapped, the flow will update the excel template with the new invoice data. And that's it! The template is now populated with the data from the SharePoint list. This automated process saves a lot of time and effort, especially if you have to generate multiple invoices regularly. And the best part is that you can customize the flow to fit your specific needs and requirements. You can also add additional steps to the flow, such as sending an email notification with the invoice attached, or even generating a PDF version of the invoice and saving it to a SharePoint library. So there you have it, an effortless and efficient way to populate excel templates using Power Automate.
