Then, I use the "Apply to each" action to iterate through each item in the SharePoint list. Within this loop, I have actions to create a new Excel file, update the cells in the file, and save it with a unique name. To update the cells in the Excel file, I use the "Update a row" action from the Excel connector. This allows me to specify the Excel file, the worksheet, and the cell range to update. I also map the corresponding columns from the SharePoint list to the cells in the Excel file. Once all the necessary cells are updated, I save the Excel file with a unique name using the "Create file" action from the OneDrive connector. And that's it! With this power automate flow, whenever a new item is added to the SharePoint list, the corresponding cells in the Excel template will be populated, and a new Excel file will be created and saved. This is just one example of how you can use power automate to populate Excel templates. The possibilities are endless, and you can customize the flow to fit your specific needs.
