a great way to get started with using power automate is to use the templates you can choose from a wide variety of templates to find the one that best matches your scenario once you've found the template you can tweak it by adding editing or removing triggers in action you can even copy and paste actions in the same flow or across flows to speed up your tweaks so let's take a look at a scenario a conference committee is looking for a solution where they can find which attendees have diet restrictions they can provide a form for the attendees to fill and the data is saved somewhere furthermore it should create tasks for the committees and also post the form entry in a social collaboration place the form can be built using microsoft forms the tasks can be added in planner teams is the perfect place for social collaboration and in teams create a database table the conference committee already has a team called conference committee and they already have a few channels one of them is called diet restrictions the table can be easily built in dataverse which already has an excel like look and feel a conference committee plan has already been created in planner with a diet restrictions bucket to add tasks in all we need is to build a power automate flow before building this flow from scratch let's see what options we already have available go to power automate empower automate i can look for templates and in my search i can search for microsoft forms i can see that there are some options available and notify a team and a new form response is submitted is very close to what i'm looking for so this is what i'll select and go ahead and add some enhancements i'm going to click on it i'll give it a name i'll select the id of the form which is right here team to notify it is going to be the conference committee and the channel is going to be the diet restrictions let's create the flow it says the flow has been created we'll go and view the workflow and there it is so now all we need to do is enhance it let's click on edit once it is posted we need to do a few more things to get the forms information i need to add an additional step so i'll come over here in between click on insert a new step add an action i'll search for forms and in forms i'll select forms and i'll select get response details here i'll go ahead and fill out the necessary information and now i can complete the planner and submitting the data in the database now i can add a parallel branch so i'll click over here and i'll add a parallel branch and this one is going to be used to save the data in a planner bucket so i'll search
