How to Effortlessly automate Call Back Request using Flow template

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first video for Flow Quick Tips. In this video, we will focus on some quick tips around flows. Today, we will be discussing how to call a flow from PowerApps. In PowerApps, to call a flow, you can add a button and set the OnSelect action to call Power Automate. Another way is to select the button, go to the action tab, and click on "Power Automate". This will list all the flows available that have a trigger associated with PowerApps. It's important to note that you will only see the flows listed here based on the environment in which you're creating the app. So, your app and flows must be in the same environment. In this exercise, I will create a new flow. When selecting this, it will take me to Flow and list out all the flow templates available based on the PowerApps trigger. Here's a tip: use templates whenever possible. Templates are a great way to enable reusability because the scenario you're trying to execute might already be available as a template. Simply select your scenario from the provided templates and customize it to fit your needs. In this scenario, I will choose the PowerApps button trigger and create the flow. The next step is to rename the flow. This is because the name you give to the flow will be the name of the function when PowerApps calls the flow. In this case, I will name it "Flow Tips". Now that I have PowerApps as the trigger, I can start configuring my flow. For this example, I will use a SharePoint list to track assets. It includes the asset name, date, and the number of assets required for the call request program. If I need parameters to come from PowerApps into the flow, there is no option to ask for those parameters directly. Instead, I can create variables. I will initialize a variable, give it a name, and set the type as a string. This allows me to effortlessly automate a callback request using the flow template. That's it for this quick tip on calling flow from PowerApps. Stay tuned for more Flow Quick Tips. Thank you for watching!
