How to Effortlessly automate Executive Summary using Flow template

welcome my name is felix saller i'm a former manager at bain and company and in this video i want to share with you all there is to know about executive summaries and presentations and hopefully by the end of the video i will have persuaded you that you should always use executive summaries in your own presentations you will specifically learn what is an executive summary why you should always use one what are the benefits of an executive summary and lastly how to create effective ones what are the three four things you should always have in effective executive summaries first what is an executive summary as the name suggests an executive summary summarizes your presentation's content and typically on one page so for instance if you have a 30 40 page presentation what is the one page that summarizes your key messages quite often you see presentations where the presenter talks and talks and shares a bunch of data and interesting information but he or she might not be able to summarize the key messages the key takeaways in 20-30 seconds so every time you're not able to summarize your presentation's message in in a couple seconds you probably don't know specifically what you want to share with your audience most traditional executive summaries and presentations have the title executive summary at the top and then you would write four or five first level bullets that summarize the four or five key messages takeaways and then potentially one or two sub-bullets however there are different variations of six of executive summaries you could also have more of a visual representation of the messages or put the action title in the title and the slides header or right at the glance or some other creative ways to to present it but the takeaway is an executive summary summarizes or synthesizes what you want your audience to leave with on one page next the executive summary is the most important slide in your presentations so every time you have a presentation make sure you have an executive summary that synthesizes your presentation's key takeaways having a slide that summarizes the messages is beneficial for a few reasons number one it clarifies your own thinking quite often you have presentations where people pull together different slides there's a bunch of interesting data charts quotes but there isn't a cohesive story and there isn't a clear concise message the presenter wants the audience to leave with so always be clear in one of the three four things if i only had 30 seconds with this audience what do i want them to leave with and and forcing yourself to create an next exam make sure that you take the time to go deep to think about the presentation's message and that you are clear about what you want to convey to your audience it always starts with you being clear about what you want to convey and then you obviously want
