In Power Automate, click on "Create" and select "Instant cloud flow". Now, search for and select "Microsoft Forms" as the trigger. Choose the "When a new response is submitted" option. Link your Microsoft Forms account and select the form we just created. Next, search for and select "Microsoft Planner" as the action. Choose the "Create a task" option. Link your Microsoft Planner account and select the plan and bucket where you want the tasks to be created. In the task details, map the fields from the form to the corresponding task properties in Planner. For example, you can map the start date field to the task due date property. Once you have mapped all the necessary fields, save and test the flow. Now, whenever someone submits a response to the holiday request form, a task will be created in Microsoft Planner with all the relevant information. But we can further automate this process by integrating it with Microsoft Outlook calendar. Go back to Power Automate and create a new flow. This time, select "Outlook.com" as the trigger and choose the "When a new event is created" option. Link your Outlook.com account and select the calendar where you want the events to be added. Next, search for and select "Microsoft Planner" as the action. Choose the "Create a task" option. Link your Microsoft Planner account and select the plan and bucket where you want the tasks to be created. In the task details, map the fields from the event to the corresponding task properties in Planner. Save and test the flow. Now, whenever a new event is created in your Outlook calendar, a task will be created in Microsoft Planner with all the relevant information. This integration allows you to easily manage and track holiday requests and tasks in a centralized manner, without having to manually transfer data between different applications.
